Annual General Meeting 2009

In 2008, Northamptonshire Healthcare was ranked one of the top performing NHS trusts in England. The Healthcare Commission rated the quality of its services as excellent for the second year running and the Audit Commission also awarded the trust the top-level rating for value for money.

On Saturday 26 September, Northamptonshire Healthcare will be looking back at a successful year that saw the opening of phase 1 of the new Berrywood Hospital in Northampton, and the Ashwood Centre for Sexual Health at St Mary’s Hospital in Kettering. 2008 also saw the launch of a new countywide child and adolescent mental health service, a new 24-hour telephone support service for patients experiencing a crisis, and new young people’s contraceptive services.

The trust’s annual public meeting is being held at the Castle Theatre in Wellingborough on September 26. The meeting will feature a review of 2008/09 and the trust’s progress in improving and developing local mental health, learning disability, sexual health and drug and alcohol services.

The meeting runs from 10am to 2pm. For more information about the meeting and to book a place, contact Suzanne Johnson on 01536 493239.
